Medical consent

1. Telehealth consent

Telehealth involves the delivery of healthcare services using electronic communications, information technology, or other means between a healthcare provider and a patient who are not in the same physical location. By using Mars Labs services, you consent to receiving care via telehealth.

Consultations are conducted in the manner required by the laws of your state of residence. Where your state requires a synchronous, real-time audio or video encounter to establish a patient-provider relationship or to prescribe, your consultation will be conducted by live video or telephone as applicable. Where permitted by your state, your provider may evaluate you asynchronously through your health intake and secure messaging.

Expected benefits:

  • Improved access to healthcare by enabling consultations regardless of your location
  • More efficient evaluation, management, and monitoring of your health
  • Access to expertise that may not be available locally
  • Reduced wait times and travel requirements

Possible risks:

  • Limitations due to technical issues such as poor image quality or connectivity interruptions
  • Equipment failure or technology incompatibility
  • Potential security risks to electronic communications despite encryption measures
  • A provider’s inability to conduct a physical examination may limit diagnostic accuracy
  • Delays in evaluation and treatment due to technology deficiencies

2. Patient consent to use of telehealth

By using Mars Labs services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You understand the nature of telehealth and its limitations
  • You authorize your healthcare provider to deliver care for weight management via telehealth
  • You understand that telehealth may involve electronic transmission of your health information
  • You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting your right to future care
  • You understand that your provider may determine that telehealth is not appropriate for your condition, in which case you will be referred to in-person care

3. HIPAA consent

In accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), you acknowledge the following:

  • Your health information will be kept confidential and used only as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices
  • Electronic health records are stored securely with appropriate access controls
  • We may contact you regarding appointment reminders, treatment updates, or care coordination
  • Third-party vendors who access your data are bound by business associate agreements
  • You have the right to request access to, correction of, or restrictions on the use of your health information

4. Financial consent

By enrolling in Mars Labs services, you authorize Bundl Financial Technologies Inc to:

  • Securely store your payment information on file
  • Process subscription charges on your scheduled billing date
  • Automatically renew your subscription unless you cancel in accordance with our refund policy
  • Process charges for additional services you elect to receive

5. Shipping authorization

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Prescribed medications are considered dispensed upon shipment from the pharmacy, not upon delivery
  • Bundl Financial Technologies Inc is not liable for shipping delays, carrier errors, or lost packages once medications have been transferred to the shipping carrier
  • You are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address and for ensuring someone is available to receive temperature-sensitive medications where applicable

6. Important disclosures

  • Certain medications prescribed through our platform may be compounded and are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality.
  • Your provider will determine the most appropriate treatment based on your health profile
  • Results vary by individual and are not guaranteed
  • Some content on our platform may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence
